>> IRS Special Agent I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against
all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the
same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose
of evasion and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office which I
am about to enter, so help me God. Congratulations, you are honorary IRS Special Agents for today's
event.
>> Megan The IRS Criminal Investigation Unit, they have approached us to offer this great
opportunity to our students, so it's kind of like a day in the life of a special agent
in the Criminal Investigation Unit.
Right now they're reviewing some of the financial information that was presented by the informant,
so really combing through those financials to find out where is it that there's an issue,
where are there laws being broken, things along those lines.
[natural sound]
The coaches are all special agents from the IRS-Criminal Investigation Unit to kind of
help them figure out what they should be looking at. And I think the IRS sees this more of
a public service to the students, so less about we want to recruit these students. It's
really a hands-on, you know, nitty gritty, what would happen in another component in
how they would use their degree.
[kick]
They have to go through defensive tactics training. They have to have a belt because
they will have a belt that they're going to put on with a red gun.

They'll be doing surveillance. We'll actually get to go outside. The IRS will be acting
kind of as more shady characters. You know, what looks out of place, and then they will
go to the magistrate and ask for an arrest warrant and then finally at the end of the
day, they'll be making an arrest.
