I am Lynn and this is Keira and I'm John Keira's dad we found out when Keira was born that
she was mild to moderately deaf in both ears so she was fitted with hearing aids at 18 month.
I'm in my first year at city universty London doing a music degree. I was about 11 when I couldn't hear myself in choir.
I was born deaf and my family were hearing as well so they didn't really know what it
was like being deaf. I knew that there were things my friends could do that I couldn't
do and there were things that I was missing out on
Even with traditional hearing instruments there have been a barrier to some of the environments
that people can work in and socialize in and I think that Roger is breaking down those barriers.
The Phonak Roger has made a huge impact on my life it's much clearer than any of the other devices I have used before.
What Roger can do is allow people with any form of hearing loss whether its mild to moderate,
severe to profound, to stay in communication with each other it uses all the latest technology
to provide very very crystal clear sound for those users.
We would definitely recommend the equipment
it's easy to use it's light the nursery staff never had an issue with using it
I go out shopping with my friends and my friend can wear it around their neck. If you can
use the Phonak Roger system wherever you are even at home then your child can get a much
clearer understanding of your voice I was amazed how much better I could hear
the television and I was using it to speak to my friends and family on the phone so its
already had a much better benefit to my life I tell myself off a bit now because I should
have given things more of chance when I was younger because they would have benefited
me even more then.
The element we are most excited about is the element that it changes peoples lives and it's moving the industry forward and we continue
with that as our quest for the organisation
