Hi, everyone. This is Ann Clemmer and Stamper from stamperdog.com.
You know, everyone's been wondering, what's up with that Washi Tape,
so we're going to give you ten tips of what you can do with it.
It's a thin tape that was started in Japan and it's great to decorate your cards,
and, well, we'll show you some other things as well.
(laughter) Somebody woke up from his nap. So see, you can use your grid pad to help
you line up the edge of your card. You want to make sure that the card front
is even on your grid paper and then you use the lines on the grid paper
to go and line up your Washi Tape.
See, it's just easy to get it straight, even though I don't think
mine's quite even. And look at how easy it rips on the edge
or you can use your paper snips to cut it all the way down to the edge
because, guess what, it's not gonna fray. Now you can also fold over the edge without
adding a whole lotta bulk because it's really thin.
You don't see very much pattern on this but wait until we take it off the roll.
See, there really is pattern. And you can layer one on another and it still
sticks. And if you don't get it right the first time,
it's easy to reposition. Although when you're doing it on card stock,
some things are easier than others. Like if you press it down really hard, you
might rip your card stock. But for the most part, I didn't have any problems
repositioning my Washi Tape. See, it's really easy and very forgiving.
But since I didn't get it exactly straight, maybe . . .
How 'bout if we rough up those edges? And if we rough up the edges, then it's not
really obvious that I didn't get it exactly right.
'Cuz you know when I'm doing these, I have to look around a camera.
And so I'm rolling it back a little bit more. Do whatever looks good to you.
You can even rip it if you wanted to. But now we've got some exposed adhesive, so
let's get out the Stampin' Up! Embossing Buddy and
rub that over it really lightly and that'll take away any sticky bits, OK?
So you can go to stamperdog.com and we're going to have a link at the end
to show you how that finished card looks. In the meantime, use it to decorate your focal
points. It just doesn't have to be on the main layer
of the card. You can use it on your focal points as well.
And look at how we did it here. If you click on the card, that'll take you
to the post at stamperdog.com so you can really see that
card up close and personal because it's really interesting about how
we use the Washi Tape. You can butt it up against the edges so that
it's almost like wallpaper. And you can decorate your 3-D items.
If you've bought any brads or buttons lately from Stampin' Up!
we have those cute little containers and look at what we did.
This one, this set of Washi Tape is not going to be available
until after the 1st of June but you can always have it on your wish list.
Now if you like some of these ideas, you might want to go and check out our Master
Stamper program because we have a lot of things.
In fact, we're going to add another Idea Number 12.
Just take the Washi Tape and roll it up into a flower.
