Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're talking about
some basic tips for playing the game of quick draw. Yes, it's Pictionary. So in this clip,
let's talk about the all play category. Now, in the all play category, the word card is
going to be shown to each pictureist of each team. The all play word is sketched simultaeously
by all the pictureist to the respective teams of the start of the timer, so you're going
to start your timer. Now, regardless of who's all play it was, the first team to identify
the word earns control of the die and immediately rolls and advaneces the number of squares
indicated. Now, this team continues its turn with a new word. If no team identifies the
word in the time, the die is then passed to the left. However, this team does not roll
the die but begins its turn by pulling a new card and then sketching the word corresponding
to the square they currently occupy. Now, if you really want to spice things up, this
is a little bit more advanced. You might notice a blue die on the board there. Now, you have
to decide this from the start. When you're going to start rolling the die, this is an
interesting part of the game. When you roll this it really spices it up. As you just saw,
it was on a sort of pencil looking...the traditional pictionary picture. If you roll this, nothing
changes and you'll play pictionary traditionary the way we've discussed. But if you roll something
else..Let's say you roll for instance, this off hand picture. Every picture then must
use his or her off hand to draw the picture. By that I mean if you're right handed you
have to use your left hand or viceversa. So you can see, we're really starting to spice
it up. This one right here, very interesting. It stands for one line. Your drawers can only
use one line to draw their picture. Once the pencil hits the paper, it can't be lifted
for any reason or your team is going to lose the round. Finally, well there's 2 more. There's
one called eyes closed. Then the drawers will obviously, draw with their eyes closed. You
can see how this can be very fun. Finally, we've got 2 images. So on your category card.
Once you actually draw your card right there, you can actually pick 2 things to draw. So
you pick up a few more points that way. Now that we've discussed the all play category,
we have one final clip coming up. We'll talk of course about winning, and also the number
of players needed to play pictionary.
