My husband Geoff was an apprentice electrician in the 1960's and during that time he had
very high exposure to asbestos. This unfortunately resulted 48 years later in him being diagnosed
with mesothelioma. I contacted Pannone the day after we had the diagnosis because we
were expecting it and they came up to see us and talk to Geoff about a week later. We
felt very comfortable with Alicia dealing with it. She was very sensitive, also very
friendly and interested what had happened to Geoff. All our enquiries and questions
and everything were answered and dealt with there was no frustration having to wait for
people to contact us or anything like that it was really good. It took 10 months which
is basically what she said it would take and the claim was agreed just before Geoff died,
10 days before he died in October 2011. He was very pleased and felt more settled that
it was sorted out and although the compensation did not come until after he died on the 16th
October, he knew it was going to come and he knew that it would help me greatly in a
financial way.
The financial pay out of compensation helped me to live in a much more financially stable
way then I perhaps would have done had we not had it.
Pannone did a fantastic job I can not praise them highly enough. I did not have any complaint
or anything negative to say about them at all and I would certainly recommend them to
anyone else who was in the same position.
