My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village and today I am going to show you how
to make Chicken Ala Cacciatore or hunter's style chicken. All right, here we are with
an onion and I have made sure that I have refrigerated the onion reduce the amount of
pain on my eyes so we're going to take, there are two ends to an onion, the root end and
the bulb end or the bud end and I'm going to slice that end off, leave the other end
on, take my knife right across the top like this, cut it into two halves and see if I
am leaving this end off, on it keeps the whole thing together while I peel the skin off.
I went a couple of layers deep just because this onion had a lot of bruising on the outside
of it. Onions stuck to my finger, come on, there we go, I'm just going to peel the outer
layer or in this case the outer couple of layers, this one like I said, had some bruising
on it, so what I am going to do is I am going to make a series of, I want this in really
large pieces, so I am just going to make three large cuts this way and do one cut here and
I am going to do one cut back here and that's, you'll see what happens is that it breaks
them up into piece like this big which is what I want and then for this piece right
here that I've got left, I'll trim away this so that all I have, all I'm going to be throwing
away is this tiny piece here on the end. So that's three big cuts, cut there, cut there,
there we go, that is the joy of cutting an onion, and because I used a refrigerated onion
it is not burning my eyes hardly at all right now which is a huge plus.
