Hello, I am Evgenyia Gevorkan, and I am from Moscow in Russia. I am a marketing professional,
and for the past eight years I have been doing marketing for the big multinational companies
like British American Tobacco. The further I climbed up the career ladder, I realised
that in order to be effective in my role, I have not only to be 100% an expert in what
I do, in marketing, but I also need to be aware what other departments do, and how is
it working on their side. This is how the idea of getting an MBA degree first came to
my mind. Cass is very famous for its quality education
in the world. You probably know that its finance professors are usually giving commentary on
the most complex economics and finance events in the world. The Cass faculty of HR and Strategy
is being regularly ranked in the top 10 in the world by the prestigious ranking of the
Financial Times, so this was number one for me because I wanted to get a really high quality
education. The second thing which is extremely important
here is that Cass treats the Executive MBA programme as being truly international. It
has two campuses -- one in London, which is one of the centres of the developed world,
another in Dubai which can be a good indication of the emerging market.
When I was choosing the programme, I liked that Cass suggested the option of the Executive
MBA for the working professionals. This basically means that Cass does a lot in gathering the
professionals in their own areas of expertise in one room. This enables us as the students
to learn not only from the textbook or from the professor but also from each other.
I can tell it on my own experience that I learnt finance as much from the textbook as
much as I did from my fellow students.
