Ryerson has come a very, very long way.
You're now world known,
you're now thought of very highly
and you have produced some of the very best.
I'm really looking forward to running into old friends from Ryerson and my program in
Image Arts as well as any number of people. It's always a really great opportunity to
run into people you haven't seen for a very long time - just a great time for entertainment
and excitement to wrap off the Alumni Weekend events.
I volunteered for the Alumni Weekend so I can
network and create connections for the future.
Well, when I was here in the early 70s, Ryerson became a university
and when you look at the campus and all the new buildings and everything,
it's spectacular, it's great.
My thoughts on this new athletic centre? I think it's great first of all. Second of all
i think it's very good for the students because its something we didn't have when we were studying here.
It's amazing to see Ryerson grow and develop like this. Give it another five years and we'll see
where it takes us. It' absolutely great to see.
I came to the Alumni Weekend to see what changes had happened at Ryerson since I graduated
in '88 and it was really wonderful to see the new buildings, and the expansion that Ryerson
has made in the past 25 years.
I believe that Ryerson University has a very unique place in Toronto. The alumni is 150,000
plus strong. That is a huge network and I think that everyone shares a rapport from
the school that they've been to and just from the leadership here and what they've done
for the university, it's great to be a part of helping build that within our community.
As we get into our professional lives sometimes its hard to look back and to see where we've come from but
it's a good opportunity to build strong connections within your industry and we've done that and
it's been a huge success. And we'll continue that success in future
years and help building Toronto and building a better country.
