I really love people. I love interacting with people. If I don't know you, I'm just gonna love you
because I just care a lot about people.
I saw a position for a kitchen aide
and I applied.
But every time I stopped by the classrooms, I always enjoy myself just watching those kids.
You know, having fun, laughing, having a good time.
And I said, "You know what? I want to do what those teachers are doing."
I began as a kitchen aide and then I became a teacher's assistant and teacher,
all the way to my current position as a state education coordinator.
To me, technology means ongoing communication.
As Lisa's supervisor, it is vital that we stay in touch at all times.
And we tend to do that via technology.
Ten years ago my cell phone didn't even have internet.
Now with my new smart phone, I just click on my Ashford University app and
it's very convenient. I'm on the go. I could look at my discussion board, my grades,
and I also look at the announcements that the teachers post.
There is work life, family life, and school life that Lisa has to juggle and she's doing all of those very well.
I'll be able to come home
take a shower, eat dinner with my husband,
and then just get in the computer room and do my homework.
I was excited when
she wanted to further her education.
She wanted to go for her Master's.
I told her, "Baby. Let's do it."
I know Ashford University has a lot of students, but i'm thankful because they're very dedicated to me.
One thing that always kept with me- "Lisa, you're investing in your future."
You know what? I am investing in my future.
