In the Name of Allah, The Merciful, The Intensely Merciful O Allah, send Your Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and send great greeting. Peace be upon you.
My name is Hadil Al-Khouly, I am Egyptian. I want to talk to you today about an incident that happened to me and to my friends And I believe that it is an incident that concerns every Egyptian who participated in the Egyptian Revolution and had hope for this country
Last Friday, on November 16th, My friends and I were hanging out, and suddenly without any introductions, the Egyptian Central Security Forces raided us They knocked on the door in a horrible way, in a manner that shocked everyone in the house
They raided the place, and started an investigation with people, investigation with my friends, just because they are a group of individuals who believe in Imam Al-Mahdi, Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (a.s), and gather in a peaceful way, in order to discuss the Da'wa (the call of Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan a.s), and the proofs of the Da'wa, and studying, and knowing and learning the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (a.s).
The police entered and carried out investigations and dealt with people in a humiliating way, And all of us as Egyptians know how the Egyptian police deal with excessive violence with people and humiliate them. And of course there were no accusations. And as we are used to, the media came out, distorted our image, and published about us that we are a group of terrorists, and they connected us to the incidents of Rafah in which soldiers were killed.
They said we are an organized group that propagate religion, a Shia group, they said everything you could imagine when the media wants to create the story of the season!
I can't express enough how humiliating this is! Why? Because when it reaches the point where the government has nothing to do except that it looks for youths, and the biggest thing they have done is that they gather with one another privately, no organization or anything! I am staying at my home, gathering with friends and discussing..
Has it reached this point? Is this what we made the revolution for? Is that we can not even talk on the ideological/intellectual level?! Is this what freedom is? I don't know what age are we getting into nor where are we heading towards!
Now, this Salafi government. People who are happy with the Police, and say to them! "Good Job Police! You have arrested the Shia!" I feel sorry to tell you that you have not read the history of Salafis nor have you read the history of Wahabis
There will come a time soon where if you don't think like the Salafis nor wear like the Salafis nor embracing their thoughts, you will get arrested! Do you remember the girls at schools that had their hair cut because they were not wearing Hijab? Or the women in the streets.. Or the woman journalists who said that you must wear Hijab and stop smoking? Now the man who walking in the streets during Ramadan while eating he will get arrested!
Every person who think that they have a personal space shall see that everything that happened will happen to him too just like anyone else. Because Salafis hate diversity, they want all the people to be in the same bowl and think the same way I do not believe that this is what we fought for, I do not believe that the people died for this! I am Egyptian, I participated in the revolution, and so did my friends. This is not Egypt that I want.
Egypt that I want has the Christian and has the Nubian and has people who think differently, as long as the people are not harmed! They underestimate the minds of people! Have we reached the point where the government has nothing to do today.... They are leaving Mubarak and the remnants of the previous regime who are until today still stealing the people's money and until today we are not able to get their money back
and the government has nothing to do except looking for some youths who are hanging out together trying to study, trying to think and discuss together and all their material is open and transparent!
Every lecture we make is found on YouTube for the one who wants to search! Now when we talk about fighting the ego, when I talk about living a peaceful life, when I talk about living a life in which I keep the manners of eating, keep the manner of dealing with my neighbor. Is this a crime now? Is this the time we are living in?
And the media campaign is continuing until today! So I want to say to you that the human being who remains silent while seeing Egyptians with different thinking like everyone else being oppressed and terrorized and arrested I want to tell him that you too are not safe!
Because we are not your enemies! If you think that it is happening to us only, then no, it will happen to you too tomorrow. Because our enemy is not a group who has another way of thinking! Our enemy is the human being who want to impose a certain way of thinking upon the people!
That do not have any space in which he would allow freedom, freedom of belief! freedom of thinking! as long as I am not harming anyone! This is a private space. Like I mentioned, everything we talk about is available online for any one to see and talk about.. What happened is a violation to the simplest right of the human being And that is that I gather with people privately in my home, and discuss whatever I want
I have not participated in the revolution for this Egypt! This Egypt that we see today! And I do not believe that none of you participated in the revolution in order to allow the Wahabis and Salafis transform Egypt into a place where I can not even breathe! So now I am saying to you and requesting from you, not that you defend me nor defend the people that think like me, But defend Egypt, which has a room for everyone to think freely and live in peace with his people and neighbors without terrorism.
O Allah, send Your Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and send great greeting.
