Hi this is Ken and I'm talking to you about the basics of golf and the etiquette. We talk
about penalty strokes, there is a penalty stroke if we lose the ball or if we hit it
to a hazard, and if we hit out of bounds. There is boundaries on the golf course. Now
when the ball is hit into the fairway, another rule is that you are not allowed to touch
the ball. You have to play the ball were it is lying. So you can't like improve your lie,
you can't put it up on the tee to make it easier to hit. You got to play were the ball
is. The exception of this rule is when you get to the green. Once the ball is on the
green you can technically pick the ball up and move it, if you mark were the ball was.
You can clean your ball off when you are doing that to make sure there is no dirt on it.
The intricacies of golf and putting are more intricate, and has to be a real clean ball
and no dirt on it. Then you can replace the ball back where your marker was and you are
ready to putt. Sometimes your ball will be where someone else ball is, and you can move
a club stroke over and you mark it again. Thank you very much!
