Hey what is up? Apple just got done with their live keynote WWDC conference and as you can
tell by the way my hair looks I've been just pulling at my hair all day in excitement,
surprise, and a little bit of frustration as well. Like the new Mac Pro design? I mean
that thing looks like a bathroom trash can. Apple also announced the new Mac operating
system version. It's called Mavericks, and I'd love to hear what Mark Cuban thinks about
that. Anyways but enough of all that let's get to the main topic today and that's iOS
7 and I want to go over my top seven favorite features that are coming in the new version
of iOS. So let's get right into it here. Coming in at number seven obviously is the new modern
design for iOS 7. I had to put this at number seven to show you first because obviously
it's very noticeable. I can't show you any other features without you noticing the new
modern design. It's a clean, flat, minimalistic design. They completely revamped the whole
iOS environment and they even re-did all the app icons as well, the default app icons.
The new design is very transparent. It has a lot of translucency built into it. All the
default apps have brand new icons which show off that clean flat and minimalistic design
in iOS 7. The default weather app look a lot better, looks very similar to the new Yahoo
weather app that just came out recently that everybody's raving about. I love it. I'm glad
that iOS 7 re-did the weather app. I always hated the default weather app in iOS. Hopefully
this will negate me having to go out and get a third-party weather app like I've always
done. So that's number seven: the new modern flat design of iOS 7 along with all the default
apps. Number six is the new Siri. It got a redesigned interface. It can do more tasks
like change some settings in your phone, turn on Bluetooth, check your voicemail, all kinds
of cool stuff. It can recognize a more natural speech pattern, and you can actually change
the voice so you can actually get a guy voice instead of that robotic girl voice. So all
you ladies out there who want a sexy Siri guy voice you're in luck. Now the one thing
that I hope they change is give us the ability to turn off Siri's annoying sound effect.
Like I'll have my phone on silent. It'll be like two o'clock in the morning and I'm browsing
Reddit because I can't sleep. And then my girlfriend is sleeping beside me and then
all of a sudden she hears that duh-duh sound, you know, and like wakes her up then she talks
to me for like three hours and I can't go back to sleep. Hopefully these new features
in Siri make me use it more because I never use Siri, never use it at all. Coming in at
number five is the new iTunes radio. This is similar, very similar to Pandora but it's
built right into the music app in iOS 7. I feel like iTunes radio may be a good competitor
to Pandora and Spotify because it's built right into iOS 7 and it just gives you more
personalized experience. That's what they say at least. So I'm curious to play with
that and see how well that works and see if it works better than Pandora because Pandora
is great for discovering new music and if the new iTunes radio does a better job at
that I might use that more than I use Pandora so we'll see. But I'm excited for that. Number
four is Photos and Airdrop. Photos has a few new features that seem pretty cool. They have
collections and are organized by your location data and the time that you took those pictures.
So say if you take a trip, you take pictures with your iPhone when you're on a vacation,
the photos will organize themselves based on that location and time so your photos get
automatically organized and you can go into that collection and moments where you can
see different times during that trip. So that's a pretty cool feature in the new Photos app,
and AirDrop is a cool new feature as well. Airdrop basically lets you share anything
that's shareable like a photo, video with any of your friends that are in close proximity
to you. And you can even share it with people who aren't your friends as long as they have
Airdrop turned on and you give them access. So you can share it very easily without emailing
or messaging the photo or video, whatever you're sharing. Number three is the new Notification
Center and all the features that they gave to it. It's split up into three categories
now: Today, All, and Missed. And basically they explain themselves. Today is actually
just a basic glance at your day, what today is, like the weather, anything coming up on
your calendar, reminders, traffic, all kinds of cool stuff like that. You can access it
from any screen, even the lock screen. So the new Notification Center looks pretty sweet.
I'm really excited about that. Number two is the new multitasking which definitely needed
an update. I really think this multitasking update was inspired by the very popular Auxo
app for jailbroken users. Auxo made iOS multitasking very efficient, and the new multitasking in
iOS 7 looks really sweet. Basically you see all the icons that are running in the background
along with a preview of them and you can just swipe up on the preview to kill that background
task. So you get a better handling of background tasks along with a better view of all the
background tasks as well. And another cool feature of iOS 7 is all your apps get automatically
updated so you don't have to worry about updating your apps manually. They all get pushed. All
the updates get pushed so that's cool. You don't have to worry about those red badges
anymore. So I'm super excited for the new multitasking in iOS 7. Now finally my top
feature that's coming in iOS 7 is the Control Center. Yes we have all been waiting for something
like this. If you've ever jailbroken your iOS device this is probably one of the first
features you installed. SB Settings is an app that has provided this functionality for
jailbroken users for years. It's definitely one of the most popular because everybody
loves those quick shortcuts to changing settings. That's what the new Control Center for iOS
7 does. It gives you quick access to changing settings, turn Wi-Fi off, turn airplane mode
on, change your brightness levels, iPod controls, calculator shortcut. Control Center even has
a built-in flashlight app so you don't have to go out and download a third-party flashlight
app. Basically what Control Center is is you can swipe up from the bottom on whatever screen
you're on, even the lock screen. And it gives you quick access to different things that
you can change or enable or activate, different apps that you can activate. Now Control Center
may not seem like much, but I promise you it will give you a better iOS experience in
the long run. So those are my top seven best features of iOS seven. If I left any of your
favorite features out in this video just leave a comment and let me know what your favorite
feature of iOS 7 is. If you enjoyed this video give it a thumbs-up. I really appreciate it.
