Hi! My name is Dom. Welcome to the NicheTrainings “How It Works” presentation. Since we
are in the video based training business, we thought we might as well create a “How
It Works” video, and save you from having to read the entire page dedicated to this
topic. If you still prefer to read it, you will find it right in this page.
All right, here is what I’m going to cover today. I will start with a quick overview
of the signup process, followed by how to browse and search for courses using the given
categories and keywords, and how to upload your course in three easy steps. Finally I
will show how to edit your course. You might have already figured this out; you
do not have to sign up to view our free courses. The home page has a section called “Free
Courses”, which you may browse and view at any time.
Now, let’s start with the sign-up process. We have kept this simple and it should not
take you more than 30 seconds. Once you go to www.nichetrainings.com you will see a link
in the top right hand corner that says “Sign Up now”. Click it and enter your first name,
last name, a valid email address and a password. Be sure to read our terms and then click the
“Sign Up” button. Our lawyers are very keen on making everyone read our terms in
its entirety; if you skip it here you can still locate the link at the bottom of the
page. Once you sign-up you are ready to learn and
share your skills with everyone. Let’s start by looking at “Browse Courses”. After
you click the “Browse Courses” button you will be taken to this page where you may
type in a keyword, such as “Excel” and click the search button. This will return
all the “Excel” courses in NicheTrainings. You may also use a category in your search
such as “Technology”. Once the results are back playing the video is as simple as
clicking on the video or the title. If it is free, you may instantly begin playing it
as shown in the video. If it is a paid course, you need to click “Buy Now” to purchase
the course. You will be directed to a payment page. In this page, you need to fill the usual
set of fields, such as address, city, state, zip, country, name on card, card type, card
number, expiry date and then hit the submit button. You will receive a confirmation message
and an email confirming your purchase. So you are now ready to view the course.
At any time you may click the “My Courses” button and also view all your subscriptions.
Sharing your skills has never been this easy before, just three steps. Click on the “Upload
Your Skills” button and you should see three sections, “Get Started”, “Add Content”,
and “Set Pricing”. These are the only required sections for you to upload you course.
Under “Get Started”, select a category, let’s say “gardening”, and then enter
a title, for example “Garden Bench”. Enter some keyword tags, this helps with the search
and then enter a description for your course. Now to add your content, click on the “choose
file” button and select the course you wish to upload from your local computer. Once you
have selected the file, go to the “Set Pricing” section and set a price for your course. Read
and click on the “Agree to Terms” checkbox and then hit the Save button.
We also have a few additional services for free if you would like. If you are shy to
record your voice or the very idea of your voice in your course makes you nervous fear
not. At no cost to you we will convert your voice to a machine generated voice. No! It
doesn’t sound like a zombie check it out by clicking the male or female voice in the
upload page and pick one if you are interested. We also offer free subtitles. Check the box
if you are interested. A few things to remember, the course file
must not be larger than 2 GB. Depending on the size of the file it can take a minute
to several minutes to finish uploading. Be patient, do not close the browser. Once the
upload is complete you will receive a confirmation message, stating whether the upload passed
or failed. The price you set must be between $0.99 and
$10.00, no million dollar courses in NicheTrainings since we want to make it affordable for everyone.
A PayPal account is needed to sell your course so that we may pay you 70% of the sales. You
will be prompted to enter one when you upload and save you very first course. It takes around
24 hours for your course to be approved. Once it is approved you will see your course when
you perform a search and under “My Courses”. Also, be sure to check out the text to the
right hand side of the page. It has some great information on content guidelines, the course
approval process, pricing & payment and commission information. If something is not clear, do

Now, Let us look at how to edit a course that you uploaded. Click on the “My Account”
button. You will see a table with some great information about your course, including the
price and the profit you have made through your sales. Please note that the profit is
based on the 70% of the revenue that you make every time your course sells.
Click on the “Edit” button and make your desired changes. Remember, any time changes
are made to your course it goes through the same approval process and may take up to 24
hours for approval. Well, that pretty much wraps up the “How
