Bo >> Nice Little Penguins is a band that has arisen because
we were three musicians who just clicked together.
I met Michael at a common friend and he started playing with us in our spare time orchestra.
I could feel that something was very special.
Michael's brother's Carsten, who is a drummer came quite naturally into the band.
The way we like to work as musicians is very special.
I've tried to play in many other contexts, but it just doesn´t work the same way.
It's just like coming home when I play along with the two and they say they feel the same way.
Carsten >> The audience means a lot to Nice Little Penguins. The audience are the ones
who listen to our music and give us feedback on the music and hopefully buy our music and
when we go on tour and play we have a direct contact with the audience.
So the audience is incredibly important. It has always been like this. We've always been
a band who have been happy to go out and play, and make contact with the audience
and it has not diminished over the years. Although we have grown older and have played for many years.
It is fun , it is like whipped cream on the cake to go out and present what we have been working on in the studio
and what we are so passionate about. And what the audience say to the music.
There is someone in the audience singing along on some of your songs both the old and new.
I think this is the top of what can be achieved as a musician.
Bo >> Nice Little Penguins is a musical camaraderie and it has become a mens club because we know each other so well.
We have played together since 1983 and Nice Little Penguins was formed in 1992, so we
have 20 year anniversary in this constellation,
so we know each other really really well. And we've stayed in many hotel rooms together,
played all sorts of places and have been through all sorts of things together.
Have followed each other's families so that way it's a kind of fraternity.
Michael >> The new album is really a return to where we started. It is what started the
band. A great love for the good pop song and a chorus you can remember.
Carsten >> There are many things that are important to me.
This is very important to my person and my identity,
Also, once we've made all the records, and we even can't play anymore, we want to be able to say
'we were proud of what we did, we spent time, energy and creative abilities on it
and we are proud of it."
