For two weeks now people in Turkey have been voicing their anger against Prime Minister
Tayyip Erdogan. They've been marching through the streets and occupying Taksim Square and
Gezi Park in Istanbul and the police have at times violently cracked down on them. But
one protester has been flying a quadrocopter over Taksim Square getting footage of the
demonstrations for the past few days. His most recent upload showed the scene over Taksim
Square which has been the center of the protests. It shows a huge number of police trying to
keep the square clear after a night of violence. There are clouds of tear gas floating through
the air, and water cannons being used to keep people out of the area that was occupied by
the protesters until it was recently cleared with hundreds of protesters injured during
violent scenes. He got some pretty unique footage giving an overview of exactly what
was going on in and around the square. He also got some amazing views over the city
of Istanbul but the police themselves obviously got a bit sick of it after a while and decided
to take the quadrocopter down by firing bullets at it. The moment of the shooting wasn't caught
on the quadrocopter because of the impact of the bullet but it was filmed from ground
level. Unsurprisingly the quadrocopter and the camera were both completely ruined.

Erdogan in Turkey and what was happening in the initial couple of days of protest - there's
