The Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection has been introduced on the Levorg. It
supports rear safety and reduces eye movement during driving. By monitoring
the road with radars equipped on both sides of the rear bumper, the blind spot
detection system monitors the rear and side area of the car, and if a vehicle is
detected in a blind spot, the indicator lamps equipped on the mirror surface of
the door mirrors light up.
The system assists to prevent danger and reduces driver fatigue by reducing
blind spots. Under such a situation, the indicator will start to blink if the winker
is operated towards the direction of the caution lamp. The lane change assist system
warns the driver of a vehicle approaching in a neighboring lane with
signalling for a lane change on a highway, for instance. The radar detects the
vehicle in the next lane approaching from behind at
high-speed, then it alerts the driver with the indicator lamps. Under such a
situation, the indicator will start to blink if the winker is operated towards the
direction of the caution lamp.
The rear traffic alert system is effective when reversing out from a
parking space, for instance. The radar monitors the rear and side area of the
car. If there is a risk of an obstruction to other vehicles, it will alert the
driver with a warning sound, and the indicator lamps in the door mirrors will light up. These
three features of the Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection assist the driver by
raising the safety of lane changing and reversing. It offers a safe and peaceful
drive.
