ALY MAKISHIMA: Hi, I'm Aly Makishima, and I work for the
Ads Product team here at Google.
Today, I'd like to introduce you to a new feature called
Make A Payment which gives advertisers the ability to
make an immediate payment to their account in AdWords any
time, for any amount.
This is available to all our advertisers who are on
post-pay, which means that you're paying only after you
accrue costs for advertising activity.
Let me show you how it works.
First, we'll start by logging into AdWords.
Click on the My Account tab, which will bring you to your
billing summary page.
Under Current Balance, you'll see your billing threshold.
When your account spend reaches this amount, or 30
days have passed since your last payment, Google
automatically bills you.
But today, we'll review how you can
initiate a one-time payment.
There are several reasons why you may want to take advantage
of this feature.
Say, for example, you've accrued advertising costs that
are close to your billing threshold and you want to
delay your next automatic payment.
Or maybe you've had a payment decline, and your ads are at
the risk of not showing.
Simply use this feature, make an immediate payment, any
suspended campaigns are activated and your regular
billing cycle will continue.
Another reason you might want to use this feature is if you
like to divide your balance among
several forms of payment.
Or maybe you want to make a payment for an amount that's
larger than your balance.
You do this if you want to pre-pay for certain
advertising costs that you know you're going to accrue.
And don't worry about missing a payment.
You'll still be automatically billed according to your
regular billing cycle, even if you decide
not to use this feature.
Let's start by clicking on the Make A Payment link.
Select your preferred form of payment from
the drop down menu.
These are all the forms of payment that you have
currently listed in your account.
Then choose your payment amount.
If the line showing your balance is greyed out, this
just means that you have a positive
credit in your account.
And negative balance means that a payment is required,
and thus you should be able to select the option of paying
off that exact amount.
To specify your own amount, type in $10 or
more and click Continue.
Your account balance will update as soon as
your payment clears.
By initiating your own payments, you have more
control over how much and when you are charged.
We hope you find this feature useful.
Thanks.
