Hi, my name is Ben Valentine. I'm the Director of Student Accounts for Ashland University.
The next few minutes I wanted to discuss three important details regarding your student account,
accessing your student account statement inline through Webadvisor,
different payment options available and service fees,
and student health insurance and the waiver for it.
So, let's get started. The fall tuition statement will be mailed out early July.
This would be the only paper statement you will receive.
We will send an email to your Ashland email account every month
the you have been unpaid balance.
That email will direct you to view your account statement online through Webadvisor.
And now, I'll show you how to access your account through Webadvisor.
First, go to the main ashland.edu webpage. At the top right corner there's a login button for Webadvisor,
and parents, if you would like to login, you will need your students username and password in order to access this.
Click on the "Students" tab.
Under "Student Financial Information," there's a link for "University Account Statement."
The next page shows some information regarding service charges and payment options.
At the bottom of the page there are fields for a start date and an end date.
There will be dates that default in there,
but you can change those dates to whatever date range you would like.
Once you've entered the correct date range that you like, click "Submit,"
and that'll bring up your account statement.
Also on Webadvisor, there is a link for "Make a Payment,"
under "Student Financial Information" as well.
The University accepts all forms of payment,
however there are service fees attached to some forms.
All debit and credit card payments for tuition, fees, room and board, are charged
a 2.7 percent service.
This goes for payments made online, over the phone, or in person.
An electronic check payment made online
will be charged a $2.95 flat fee per transaction.
We also accept cash and regular checks for no additional fee.
You can also set up a monthly payment plan with Tuition Management Systems.
All this information is available online at this link.
Now, for student health insurance.
The university requires all full-time undergraduate students to have health insurance.
For that reason, every full-time student is enrolled in a policy through the University.
If you are covered under your parents policy or have your own coverage,
you do have the option to waive our insurance coverage.
The deadline to waive is September 13th.
Please be aware that the cost of our insurance is $995.
If it is not waived by September 13th, you will be responsible to pay the full cost.
To complete the online waiver form, go to studentplanscenter.com.
Click on Ashland University,
under where it says to select your school.
Click "Submit."
On the lef-hand side, there is a link for "Online Waiver Form."
Simply acknowledge that you have required coverage and hit "Continue."
Fill out this form and complete it and click "Submit,"
and print the confirmation page at the end for your records.
Once you do this, we will be notified that you have requested to waive the health insurance,
and we will remove the charge from your account.
If you have any questions regarding anything I've discussed or have other questions,
please contact the Student Accounts Office at 419.289.5958
Thank you for your time and welcome to Ashland University.
