Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be test fitting the Draw-Tite ball mount with
a3/4 inch rise or a 2 inch drop, rated at 7500 pounds, part number 2923. Before we begin
our test fit, we'll first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the
measurement from the ground to the inside top of the of the receiver tube. The hitch
height for this vehicle is about 19 and 3/4's of an inch. Keep in mind that this measurement
may vary due to tire size, hitch style, or other aftermarketaccessories. We'll now
go ahead and begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount in the drop position
in to the receiver tube of our hitch. We can then secure it with a pin and a clip. We can
then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform, getting a measurement of
about 17 and 1/2 inches. Now if your vehicle's hitch height matches ours, and your trailer's
ride height matches this measurement, this should be an appropriate ball mount for you.
We can then flip the ball mount over to the rise position, and again, measure from the
ground to the top of the ball platform.
