Once upon a time at a college far, far away from her crazy stepmother but unfortunately
at the same college as her ugly stepsisters, a girl named Ella filmed her first entry for
University Ever After. That's me. Ella Cinders. Senior at Walt University.
Senior. It seems so weird to say that out loud! I remember just like yesterday I was
arriving on campus with nothing but a mind full of dreams and a suitcase full of fur-lined
Crocs! Man, times have changed.
Okay, I kept a pair. Don't judge me, they're comfortable!
I love heels and all, but sometimes it feels like I'm walking on shards of glass.
You don't know why I'm telling you all of this, do you? Or what University Ever After
is? It's really quite simple. At Walt University, you can either live in
normal dorms, or in Living Learning Communities, which are actually just like normal dorms,
but you get to do a lengthy research project! I'm in one of the newest Living Learning Communities,
which has been dubbed "University Ever After." There are six of us in the suite, and our
research project is to record everyday life here at Walt U. We each take turns making
vlogs, and there's also a camera going nonstop in the common room. All the video streams
directly to a film student, who edits it and uploads it on the web for prospective students
just like you! At first, I was really worried about posting
my personal life on the web, but then I thought, when has posting on the web ever caused any
real harm? Dr. Blue told us to be as honest as possible,
so students will know what it's really like here.
We've never actually met dr. Blue, because she's always really busy slash always traveling,
but she organized the whole thing and granted us free housing.
I already have free tuition from the godmother scholarship, but I need all the financial
aid help I can get, because at the end of this year, I'm graduating, and all of my magical
scholarship money fades away, and I turn back into a poor, penniless pumpkin.
OH MY GOSH-you already started filming? I've never been filmed before! My mom never let
me watch TV. College is going to be so liberating-it's like I've been locked in a tower my whole
life, but now I'm out and ready to see the world!
And apparently ready for the world to see you. This is my roommate, Rapunzel. She's
a freshman here at Walt U.
A freshman who is so so grateful to be at University Ever After, and have a super stylish
roomie like Ella! This is gonna be the best year EVER! I can't-
Oops. Sorry. What are we filming here? Is this for your never after thing?
It's for University EVER after, and yeah, hold on let me turn it off-
No, it's okay. Leave it on. I mean, might as well tell your viewers what it's like to
live on campus here. Friends and family dropping by all the time. Why don't you introduce me?
I thought you said it was stupid and that you didn't want to be a part of it?
I never said that. Though I do find it kind of odd that you've never met your supervising
professor.
She's really, really busy. That's why we're doing the project. To help her recruit new
students.
And she thinks that showing everyone your boring life is going to make people want to
come to school here?
Ella's life is not boring!
Really? She has so few friends that she's started talking to wild animals.
It was one time with one bird! But I'm assuming the only reason you're here is because you
want to look off my sketches because we have class in ten minutes.
Excuse me, I have plenty of my own original ideas, and if you think you're a shoe-in for
the internship at the Charming Company, think again. Everybody in the program wants a spot,
and just because you're Little Miss Perfect doesn't mean that you'll be chosen.
Wow. Ok. I'll cut the tension-because we don't want this video to finish without a happy
ending! So seriously though, no more spoiled princess drama, and let's just have magic
wand action!
But really, what frog do I have to kiss around here to get a date? Ok, it's fine, 'cause
there are four more years, so-I'm ok, I guess. Bye!
Didn't I just turn this thing off? Ugh, how do you work these cameras? Like, what if there
was someone spying on us. Wouldn't that be creepy if there were someone lurking in the
shadows, you think it's just a simple sweet project, but there they are, coming up with
a disasterly plan and it's gonna all be over!
I'm just kidding. Obviously, the camera stayed on because it wants to capture a little more
of this. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this. Ok, for real this time, guys!
