My top tip for students to get their ideas noticed
is to really collaborate and really brainstorm together
and come up with awesome ideas; game-changing ideas.
Focus on four things: One, the novelty of your idea.
Two, how valuable is it?
Three, is it doable?
And then the fourth one - it needs to be relevant.
I would say if there's one tip I can give an inventor...
...don't do it alone.
Does it really solve the problem?
Sometimes people have an invention...
...but they don't have a problem to solve.
Ultimately, it needs to become a viable business proposition.
I think what makes our idea stand out is that everybody benefits.
And what makes Natuur op je Muur stand out
is that you don't need electricity, you don't need tap water - nothing.
We're all sharing this house and this home - it's our planet.
So I think that we need everyone to start thinking about
what do we want for the place that we're all sharing?
I think the quote by Thomas Edison is
"Well, people shouldn't thank me for succeeding 20 times...
...but I've learned from the 10,000 times I failed before that."
I thought that was a very valuable lesson.
