My name's Sean,
C5-6
quadriplegic, incomplete,
I'm going to show you how I draw.
I've got zero
finger function, I've got wrists like that, but they don't go up that way.
Sometimes, yeah, I can especially with a texta
I can
sort of write sort of fairly well,
but as soon as you get a ballpoint pen, the pen just tends to sort of slip out of your hand.
So with my hand function,
it makes it really hard to
hold a pen very well.
Sometimes I can
just put it in between two fingers, and
still get a bit of a grip, especially with a texta.
I learned the rubber band trick off Naz.
So I've usually always got a rubber band or a hair tie
around my wrist.
that...
you can use it for a few different things: you can
stick a fork in it, or put a knife in it, to be able to cut your steak, and it holds it a little bit better
But I use it mostly for writing.
So I just kind of
slip the pen in underneath it,
and it sits there and it's really tight. And you can write pretty well, and
yeah, so that's sort of...
that's what I use it the most for, is for writing.
I've always got it there, 'cos
it's a couple of times a day you're picking up a pen and writing something.
Especially with the little one, you start drawing
I can also
put it around three of my fingers and it can
sort of
help me type a little bit easier too, so...
Oh! Sorry!
So I might put it around three fingers like that,
and then I've got one finger that
that can easily type on a keyboard,
and I can
do that on my other hand as well. So, you can type two fingers.
That's how I do that.
