This is a drawbridge that rises and falls through lava. A great way to keep your castle safe.
I'm only making it four wide, but you can make it as wide (or as long) as you want.
Again, this drawbridge is now six blocks long, but it can be extended indefinitely.
When you place these blocks, aim for the top of the grid shown when the cursor hovers over the redstone torch.
So we've got a redstone torch on top and on the front side (above the repeater) of each of these chunks.
Same as before, aim for the top of the torch.
These chunks are important. DON'T FORGET THEM.
This is where the input (on/off switch) goes in. It can't go in at the other end.
This is where the lava's going to be when the drawbridge is safe to cross.
Always control your lava! Don't let it spill out. That stuff is destructive.
You have to control it when the drawbridge is down too - that's what these chunks are for.
May as well hide the lava.
If you know about XOR gates already, stop watching now. We're done.
Building this is only useful if you only want to use the drawbridge from one side.
This is how to build an XOR gate - "ECKS-or". Basically, so you can control one thing through two switches
This is a mistake. No redstone between these two chunks.
Fixed it :)
Now, just place redstone to where you want the switches to be.
This repeater is here not for a delay, but because the redstone wire is more than fourteen blocks long
It's important to come out two from the gate, because the wire has to lead to the chunk, not just be in the block beside it.
Done. Now we just check that it all works right.
