I came from Sudan because of the war that had been in Sudan and then we decided to come
to Australia because we found that Australia is a peaceful country, is better to live in
and we found that Australia, they're really multicultural and the most important thing
that I found that Australia is giving because they do give support for the families and
the do support kids and they do support education.
So that is why I really love living in Australia.
Is good for us to have a citizenship so we can be recognised by the government of
Australia.
As we have also have been contribution to the community of Australia is uniting and
providing the communities to live together and to let my kids also share their beliefs
and whatever so that we can really come together.
When I was watching the citizenship ceremony, where we got to part where people were told
that they were Australian citizens I looked into the audience and one of the things I saw
was quite a few people, very big smiles holding up their certificates very proud
obviously that they've become Australians today.
Australian citizenship is a very important step in the migration journey it's a chance to
belong to our wonderful country and to participate in everything that means being
Australian , Being the citizenship without the citizenship, so I wouldn't really feel
happy because I feel that I am Australian.
