my name is
Collin Brooks. I am
Carson's older brother and my family I wanted to thank everybody for
coming tonight and I was tasked with the awesome
privilege to open up this
time of worship
and that's exactly what we want
everyone to
experience tonight is this
huge time of worship for Carson and who he was.
As I
look back over this past week it's been such a blur;
I've learned quite a bit and I wanted to share
a couple of things
that I've learned
--to be more specific--
so that you guys can
gain from the experiences that we've had
as well this week.
The first thing that I think my family I have just really
been able to focus on and experience is the
speed
and magnitude that love is shown here at Fellowship.
I've worked at Fellowship for eight years
and
it is such an honor to be a part of such a
wonderful body of Christ and we wanted to thank everybody for being here and for the support
that you showed us.
The second thing that I learned this week, and this is really important
I think for everybody to grasp, is that
you don't know how much I appreciate you until I tell you.
So I want you to know that we appreciate you, we love you, and we thank you
and we want to encourage you to do the same to everyone you know
because there's no time like the present to tell everyone how much you love them
and what they mean to you.
And then the last thing that I wanted to communicate to everybody was that
I remember Carson as a planter; not in the sense as gardening ()I don't think his skinny
jeans would work in that
arena)
but as a planter for Christ.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity
under Heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
And that really, to me,
screams Carson because, regardless of how he was feeling, regardless of what he was going
through, he was planting seeds like crazy.
I don't know if he necessarily knew the impact that he had but we are so thankful
that you guys are here to show us that
and to share your stories with us
especially on the Facebook page.
But, anyway, I just wanted to remind you that this is a time of celebration and we want it to be
a such so continue to worship with us.
I am sure did
okay
and I don't see any I mean he's one of his oldest states
how they did it look like that
I am
in atlanta
at times as if every I would tell anything anything that written down that and
as a that eric states today
her couple days ago and on these memories of pressing came to me
and as it out Carson had and imaginary strains hearing taco bell
and can you see
we dealt twenty eight and paper clip for its together
and he had many pre-teen sanctions which is that the whole family down in regions just
preach to us
and the flat off
and we fought constantly in essence you back in
in chile and five eighths eugenia and handed and me
isn't it
and as the battle that and we begin to be can be a Clinton he
not only
Clinton have added that he was my best friend
we see a and the late night talk late-night visits a lot higher
tens of laughter
that fact is I'm proud and
accident makes it tough to nine year on its higher
and what five seasons and won three hill in a mine with him
and and
my mind's telling that to be patting the fifth that we competed to be the candidate of people
yes
thank you
he's going to stay in
he had it gone away and doing a lot of things that he the height
my last has of peace
as I left has also he could officially finish it for me
he Palestinian like is that he may have to use this attack
in and he on ice cream
way to demand the and the big banks treatment and he had painted night life in jack the
case he Al jack allowed him to eat three times office caesar salad and even
and he had the craziest air
and a background of peanut butter on in which it
CNN
he had talked about the color black
and enjoyed working on a scar and plays guitar you have to well to make people smile
there's down the memories that I have a car seen and one of my favorite memory is a letter
that he wrote
so
tonight life
you have
they keep reading the man it is there
and she's in italy you do
the populace
I want a anything for her too
think that at eleven AM-
i'll always treasure
all that and every action and cons it
making only King weekend
that's my feeling and I begin to take this journey
and and then we will have happened at sit down
I'm good days and bad days
and then after that we having not that it's or next big event that
and keeping that this that the peace that on the he can an extent that on the he can
get
brings me tell a person that the crisis in their arm and saying and they're right too
he said
from being about politics
i'll have my little credit
and that and really
and so on and being tough for being here it means a lot threats and
he visited spring a man
we know that all of the island and in the two states he said much for being here
okay
well
thank you
another time for being here and them
what islam really mean
how do you feel around family members
doesn't mean anything around friends and family members winner all close
actually I felt about cars
there's so many memories I had with him
if I can
howie take their places
his graduation fishing with him
our Rice would counsel
and in helping me
but then this memory and probably have with them
would be
he's personnel it
he even asked for anybody better
yes
he knew
we need to be different
because guidelines
you're different
the people call you we hear it
dot blot
because you
people
are different
and
I know some very very much
