Please tell us the name of the shop, what you sell and its short history.
We are Yahata-ya, Japanese traditional restaurant. We have been operating for 98 years.
2-meters high tsunami hit our restaurant. All the Kitchen equipment is completely destroyed.
Due to this damage on kitchen facilities, we are unable to operate.
What's your plan for the future?
As my motivation in my life is to serve delicious food to customers
I would like to resume it as soon as possible.
Then, could you let me know what you need to reopen your restaurant?
I first need Refrigerator, Gas table, and rice cooker. Those are essential.
Plates, glasses and other small staffs, as I have not check them all, not sure at this moment.
Any particular type of stove burners you need?
Yes. As grilled eel is my restaurant's most popular menu, I need a gas burner for eel especially.
which grill eels from the bottom.
And a gas burner for fish, which grills from above.
And a gas burner common for all the restaurant, which has 5 stoves.
And Refrigerator and Freezer are needed as well.
What else you need?
I'm afraid that I need all the small equipment. But I can't think about small things as of now.
I need a Shoji, Japanese paper door and, Fusuma, Japanese partition.
also Byobu, folding screen.
Japanese Restaurant does not serve only foods,
but also the taste of its culture. that part is quite important. So facilities to serve such tastes are needed.
