Hi I'm Casey on behalf of Expert Village and in this segment I'm going to show you how
to complete the top of the haircut. In the last segment I showed you how to cross check
your sides. So this is the traditional way on how to go ahead and cut the top of his
haircut with the razor. What you want to do you want to go ahead and comb the hair over
to the side, cut up, under, and on top, use tension again come behind your hands and take
the same amount off generally what you would on the sides. Again you are going to talk
with your client before you get start as to how much they want off. So again pull you
always want to move the hair to make sure you have enough texture and what I'm going
to do is just work my way around from one side of the head to the other. Work your way
to the bottom up to the top, as I'm working on the top I kind of want to elevate the hair
a little bit more so that way I'm not cutting into the hair that I previously cut. So I'm
going to come up to the top, I'm going to raise it up and I'm going to come behind my
hand. And you can go ahead and move this in all different directions to make sure you
get enough texture in there. Again I'm going to start at the bottom and work my way up,
I'm going to pinch the hair, definitely use tension and remember to always keep your clients
hair wet. I'm going to work my way to the back. As I move up the hair you want to lift up
so you are not cutting into your previous hair that you just cut. Again at the top of
the head lift up, cut it in all directions, move it forward. Always check it in the mirror, I'm going to
come to the front, I'm going to turn my client, I'm going to work on the *** section right
here, I'm just going to pull it forward, I'm going to cut behind my hand to give him a
ton of texture. In the *** area you want to use light pressure you don't want to take
to much out of there and the rest you want to use in medium. Stay tune for the next segment.
