Hello dear friends of the folded sheet
today we'll fold a creeper from the game minecraft
I made the design myself
it's a modular model, so you'll need two sheets
I use origamipaer, but any paper will do
as long as it is a square
the modle is low intermediate, but don't worry you can pause the video any time
we begin by shaping the part for the head and the body
fold the sheet in half
then fold it into quarters
and then in half and quarters in the other directin to get a 4x4 grid
all the creases need to be vally-creases
vally from the white side and mauntainfolds from the green side
I reversed the fold , so I cna fold edge to edge
that is a more precise way of folding, that results in a cleaner grid
whick in the end means a prettier model
you might wna tto do it that way too
make sure all creases are in the same direction
and now we devide it in four in the other direction
first in half
then into quarters
I tried to make the model as simple as possible
and still a 3D model
so please bare with me, that it is a modular model
and that you need to drwa onto the paper
that all could be done with reversing the color of the sheet
but that would mean a more complicated model
a way more complicated model to be honest with you
now the grid ist done
it's time to grab a pen
and draw the creeper face
I'm not good at drawing, but I think it's so simple anyone can do it
but do it right now, so If you fail, you just need to fold another grid
and not the whole model
also it's easier to draw on it now , while it's still flat
square eyes
the mouth is a rectangle
with two smaller rectangles on the lef and the right
you cna look at the diagrma on the right
to see what the face needs to look like
ok, I think that works
now we need to let it dry
blow it a little, or wave at it
now we make a vallyfold in the top left corner
another one in the thried grid of the fris trow, but in the other direction
as indicated in the diagram, it wil help a lot
and the last of the three top creases
that are needed for the head of the creeper
is a mountain-crease
- a mountain fold
it is in the other direction, so it's a mountain
with the whit einside and the green outside
that is important
to later on but it all together
but before we put it together
make sure that those creases are correct
the last one a mountainfold
the first two valley-creases - valley-folds
first, to shape the body
we need those Y-shapes
you fold the two bottomlines of the paper on each other
the bottomsqaures in half
you can see it well in the diagram
use the corners as reference-points on the grid
for the diangonal creaes you can fold point to point
the other wing of the Y
you can fold point to point again
fold through the wings of the Y's
reverse the folds
colaps it like this
you have two flaps here
from the valleyfolds
and another one from the mountainfolds
the whole thing looks like a cuboid
put the last flap in this top pocket here
like this
once more slowly
this is what the model looks like when it's done
you have three flaps in total
those two go inside the model
it now should look like this
to close the head, without glue or something else
push the last flap inside here
it closes nicly like a cupboardbox
for the body of the creeper
just flatten the bottom
make sure you don't crush the cube, the head while flattening
I think it's easier to do with smaller paper, I recommend 10cm x 10cm paper
not as big as I used
for the feet, which are really simple
the hardest part is done now
if you've done the head you'll be able to do the whole modell
fold in half and unfold
and fold to the middle
now I do the less precise method, because it's not htat important
you don't need to make a cube there
if you're a little of with your folds it doesn't matter
fold it inside again, form another cupboard
fold the shape in half
as it is, or you could open it up again before folding
but that's not nessecary
pinchmark
another pinchmark at the quarters
so you have three pinchmarks in total
now from closeup
another two pinchmarks
at 1/8 of the whole length
another one here
just fold edge to crease here
now we'll do a double squashfold
that sounds more scary than it is
what we'll actually do is just
fold in an 45° Angle
and make the sides stand up like a cupboard
like a 3D cupboard
reverse those two creases and push
do the same on the other end
jus tpush everything into place
the creaes are allready therem, you just need to rearange them
and enforce them a little
fold the feet up and the whole thing in half
so it looks like the feet of the creeper from minecraft
put then in the angle you like
those are the feet
now we take the frist module
the feet go in there
in the closed pocket
it acctually will not fit, because paper has a thickness
in theory it fits
in reality it's a little too wide
so you have to wrap it around a little
but the paper is flexible enough
that is your creeper, you're done!
good job!
if you have done that, you're really good at this
and you can be proud of your creeper
here I made a smaller one
which is much cuter
and nicer to look at
both of them can stand
if you arrange the feet at the right angle
thanks a lot for watching
and for sticking with me for al this time
if you want to the more:
jus tclick one of the annotations
e.g. this world record plane
or the flapping bird
I whould be really awesome if you subcribed
so you get updated when I upload something new
which will be the case soon

and you cna follow me on facebook and g+
and share it with your friends if you liked it
see you then. bye,bye!
