The Free Syrian Army in Aleppo Suburbs has started a prison with a capacity of more than 200 prisoners.
The prisoners are officers and soldiers captured during the battles.
Among the prisoners also are Shabiha(regime thugs) captured during the battles.
The prison also has people with a criminal history.
The operators of the prison aim at transferring the morals of the revolution (to the prisons) through lessons.
A public court has been established, according to the fundamentals.
Our reporter Mohamad Zidan has visited the prison in its new look and made the following report.
Mari' central prison, suburbs of Aleppo, which is part of the Tawheed brigade.
The prison has over 200 prisoners; they are categorized according to the crimes, they are suspected of committing. They are also categorized according to the job they had, while working with the regime.
Rooms for the officer prisoners, others for the Shabiha and others for the fights that could take place in the area.
AlJazeera enetered the prison to unmask the Shabiha's world and their loyalty to Assad and his allies.
After the head of the prison put infront of us the ways of the Shabihha (including the ways of killing and pills), told us that Assad prisons won't be opened, although his pain over the decades. The Revolution's prisons will adhere to its (revolution) morals.
"We started this revolution for freedom and, not for oppression and injustice..."
"...(In regime prisons) when the prisoner was arrested he could stay for 1, 2 and even 10s of years without being able to tell his family about his location. In this prison we wait till he settles down and then we let him tell his family."
Clerics also give religious lessons to the prisoners on a regular basis.
"We give tips and establish compassion and mercy, to stop this man from doing more mistakes and crimes. Hopefully he will be regretful and will seek Tawbah(forgiveness from Allah). With the permision of Allah, he will hopefully once again become an active element in the society."
Sign: No. 1 Court Tawheed Brigade
The prison operators say that soon this room will see its first public court session.
Here there is no difference between the prisoner and the imprisoner, in terms of food and accomadation.
The head's of Tawheed Brigade affirm that they won't learn the ways of killing and torture from their previous imprisoners(regime forces), but will instead adopt the morals(freedom and justice) of the revolution, because that is victory according to them
For oppressive and tyranic countries, prisons are one of the tools for oppression and tyranny.
But they say that in the revolution, prisons are one of the tools to implement justice and rights.
