Hi, if you're looking for an exercise that's going to challenge you a little bit more than
the traditional exercises, get yourself a bosu ball. You're used to squatting. Now let's
challenge your balance, and along with using your regular muscles, let's put in all of
your stability muscles. So let's try doing squats on the bosu ball. Come down slow. If
you need to put your hands out, do so. Don't come any deeper than parallel. On the other
hand, just go as far as your knees and your lower back feel comfortable. You're going
to be working thighs, you're going to be working glutes. You're going to be working all of
your stabilizing muscles. If this gets easy, then grab a pair of dumbbells. Then it becomes
even more of a challenge. These are bosu ball squats. They're great for your lower body,
and if you involve yourself in any type of sports; like skiing, where you need balance,
this is a great way to prepare yourself for it.
