Welcome!
The 52nd Biennial *** Conference will happen here in Atlanta, Georgia.
I must tell you why I am very excited about this Conference.
First, the theme of the Conference is in
pure American Sign Language (ASL), a first for the ***!
In case you haven’t seen it yet:

I’m ecstatic about the theme.
There are so many exciting events during the week.
I’ll start with Tuesday, July 1st
the Opening Ceremony will take place at the Martin Luther King Center!
Its great to host the ceremony there, to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement.
Then on Wednesday, we will host a Community Forum
where we all can discuss hot topics trending in our community.
On Thursday, we will watch the College Bowl Finals, also known as “CoBo”
we’re excited to have six teams competing for the trophy again this year.
Friday is July Fourth!
We will host the Panoramic Fireworks Bash with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
That will be a great event to go to!
On Saturday will be the Georgia Association of the Deaf (GAD)’s ASL Festival.
Later that night, we will watch the newly developed Youth Ambassador Program (YAP)!
We all will enjoy watching the competition between 5 women and 5 men
as they vie for to become the first YAP Ambassadors.
During the week, we have the Council of Representatives (COR)
where all the Delegates come together to discuss and vote on new priorities for the ***.
In addition to COR, there will be exciting workshops and exhibits to see and enjoy.
Again, I look forward to seeing you all come here to join us for a lot of fun here in Atlanta!
