This is a 60-second Army Now from Soldiers Radio and Television.
I'm Sergeant Ashleigh Torres.
The Department of the Army announced three division headquarters
and a number of brigades will deploy to Iraq,
including the First Armored Division headquarters out of Wiesbaden, Germany.
Since this summer, troops have pulled out of the major Iraqi cities,
allowing the local security forces to take the lead in the fight.
Major General Terry Wolff gives some insight on working with the Iraqi forces.
There probably will be a bit of separation,
but there will be a healthy partnering.
And what you're seeing occur now is the buzzword that we're using now is by, with, and through,
which really implies that we're knitted up with the Iraqis in everything we do.
And so that involves planning, that involves preparation for operations,
and that involves the execution phase.
That's a 60-second Army Now. [clock ticking] [♪bass guitar playing♪]
