Hi this is Ken and I'm still talking to about the beginnings of basic golf. Golf is a game
were we are trying to get to the hole with a few strokes as possible. Now what happens
a lot of times sometimes people would start off and the take a opening tee shot on the
first hole. Somebody will yell, it's a bad shot, and they yell mulligan, meaning that
they want to take the shot over again. Technically when you are playing tournament golf you are
not aloud to take any shots over. But if you are playing in a friendly game and you know
the people around you are amenable, it is permissible to take an opening shot over again.
We don't do this again if people are waiting behind us waiting to play because we are slowing
the game up. Then we tee the game off, we hit the ball, then we go look for our ball.
If we can not find the ball then there is a penalty stroke for using another ball. If
you hit the ball into hazard water or into the woods or out of bounce we lose another
stroke as well. Thank you!
