Today I'm going to answer one of your questions,
What is the hardest part of Video Editing?
Thanks for the question,
Miguel Lotus
the answer isn't
- Rotoscoping
- or Masking
- or Motion Tracking
- or..
Keyframing or 8squirts
The hardest thing in Video Editing is...
Having to throw away a shot
that was really hard to do
with a tricky crane movement
and a big
group of actors all doing a tricky choreography
And have to throw it away
Without anyone even
knowing that it ever existed - because the shot doesn't work with the rest of the scenes
Instead of trying to force into the scene
without
reason - the only reason being that it was so hard /expensive to film it.
Having to throw that away,
I would say is,
the hardest thing
for an Editor.
That's why I think that films aren't Edited by the same people as
Direct them
The Editor doesn't have
the same ties to the shot.
