I'm Kevin on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. We're going to do our second pull. We're making
a bowl, before I do that it's real important to get this standing water out of there. Water
does a couple of things, the nice thing that it does it provides lubrication between our
skin and the clay. We found that it's real slick and when the water dissipates or starts
seeping into the clay it gets kind of gritty. But I want you to do next which is very important
too is take a dry sponge, there's no water in that, and put some pressure in there lets
get the water out. The other thing that water does, the bad thing is it kind of seeps in
the clay and makes it weak. And here's a good time before you do your next pull is to clean
your wheel off, why not? Just clean that off and clay is flying around. Now, at this point
the wheel is always going the same speed start to finish. Now I'm going to bring this foot
pedal over a little bit, now I keep my foot on this pedal at all times.
