>> RYAN CARTER - Ryan Carter here for Xtra.ca here at Perez Hilton's 'One Night' in Toronto,
a post-MMVA event we're here on the pink carpet. I've got my pink tie and we are going to check
out some of the celebrities walking down the pink carpet.
>> RYAN CARTER - Hi Nelly how are you doing?
>> NELLY FURTADO - I'm good how are you?
>> RYAN CARTER - I'm good. How was MMVA 2012 what did you think?
>> NELLY FURTADO - It was fantastic. Yeah it was really fun, I was happy and proud to
be a part of it.
>> RYAN CARTER - That's awesome. Well we are here with Perez's event, he loves Canadian
music so what can we expect from your career in the very near future? What do we have coming
up?
>> NELLY FURTADO - My album coming out September 18, it's called The Spirit Indestructible
- check it out!
>> RYAN CARTER - How was your MMVAs, how does 2012 stack up?
>> KREESHA TURNER - 2012 stacks up to the highest it has yet in my books anyways.
>> RYAN CARTER - Did you have fun performing tonight?
>> KREESHA TURNER - I did. You know as a Canadian Artist especially MMVAs being by far the biggest
stage we have in Canada. I was so honoured to be able to perform and rock a couple outfits,
red carpet
>> RYAN CARTER - I was just going to say this is a rocking outfit. I'm sure you went to
school with a lot of gay kids. How important do you think it is to embrace everyone's sexuality
whether they know it or not.
>> KREESHA TURNER - I had gay peers, teachers my whole life. So to me, I've never viewed
them as different. They've always just been my friend or my teacher or my classmate. So
I feel like if we set those standards in all of the schooling systems. That's the first
step to getting people to understand that we are all equal.
>> RYAN CARTER - How's MMVAs 2012?
>> ANJULIE - So fun. They were amazing.
>> RYAN CARTER - I think you won over the crowd here tonight with your performance.
How did you find the crowd here tonight at Perez's event?
>> ANJULIE - Oh I loved the crowd. I thought it was so fun.
