Hey there! What's up? My name is Zain and this is Real Talk.
Why can't we all just get along? That's a powerful quote, but today I'm not going to use it in a powerful way. Let's rewind.
Back when I was in ninth grade, I got my first MacBook. This is that MacBook.
Prior to getting this MacBook, I was a PC kid. I switched to a Mac because I grew comfortable
using it in school and it offered less distractions than a PC did. Now back then it wasn't the
coolest thing in the world to have a Mac. No one understood. If I told someone I had
a Mac about eighty percent of the time they would start bragging about how their PC could
run circles around my Mac and I would just sit there and think to myself, why can't we
all just get along? A few years later I got my first iPhone. Now I was a little bit late
to the party, so at this point the android phones were just coming out and they were
pretty popular. So I get my iPhone and I'm talking to some of my friends about it and
one of them decides to go off on a tangent about how their Android phone is way better
because they rooted it and now it's an open system and blah blah blah but what they failed
to understand is I don't care about having an open system on my phone. I use my phone
to call people, maybe play on a couple of apps, and browse the web. I don't need all
these extra random features. Yet they still talked and talked and talked about how their
Android phone was "superior". And I just thought to myself why can't we all just get along?
About a year after that my MacBook starts to slow down and it isn't meeting my needs
anymore. So I upgrade to an iMac and that's what I use for editing. And in come my PC
friends telling me that I should have just built a computer. What people need to understand
is what works for them may not work for other people. I don't shove Apple devices down my
friend's throats. So naturally, I don't expect them to do the same to me. I mean it's the
golden rule! When I buy a product, I just expect it to work. Now I didn't get that with
Windows. So I switched to Macs. That's consumer choice! If one company can't provide the services
I need on a daily basis, then I'm going to find another company that does. And I don't
need other people second guessing my choices. Because they're my choices. What works for
me may not work for you, but it works for me and that's all that matters. Real Talk.
Thanks for watching guys! Now I have a question for you guys. Why can't we all just get along?
Why do people feel the needs to shove their views down our throats? Let me know in the
