Hello. In this video I’m going to talk about sustainability. I will explain the importance
of keeping your project when the CSW is over. Sustainability. The quality of not being harmful
to the environment or depleting natural resources, and there by supporting long-term ecological
balance. First and foremost, this project is a resume
builder. You will be able to add not only Writing 121 to your resume but, the project
as well. Future employers will get the sense that you have now acquired a certain skill
set from doing this project. For example, problem solving. Many of you
have never created a poster/ media for a research paper, you gathered information and tactics
to complete the assignment at hand. When you get called in for an interview, you may need
to present this project to your future employer. You can also explain that you presented your
work at an event at EMU. Second, This project took time and dedication.
You first had to take the time to research your topic, then you had to find a way to
present it at an event. Your time and dedication is not trash, so it doesn’t need to be thrown
away like it. Third, This project could be a starting point
to discover something new, if we dismiss our research then we might miss the opportunity
for something else. It could also lead you into a new hobby of creativity!
Finally, If there is absolute no use for it, donate your project, and if you can’t donate
it, at the very least recycle it. We want to continue to keep the earth green and keep
Eastern one of the most eco-friendly campuses! Check out this link https://www.emich.edu/univcomm/releases/release.php?id=1335369806
for more information on our eco-friendly campus! Remember your projects are not trash so don't
throw it away like they are. We spend so much and effort on creating these things. Keep
it.
