Jurassic Park 4 might have been put on hold.
Two employees have Tweeted about problems surrounding the production. Initially, a Jurassic
Park 4 concept artist said "JP4 On Hold", while another member of the production team
wrote: "Hollywood creates and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4".
Both tweets have since been removed.
This news comes just days after director Colin Trevorrow confirmed the film would be returning
to Isla Nublar, the island in the original film, with this familiar photo.
But things might not be as bleak as they seem.
A "reliable source" close to fansite JurassicPark4-movie claims the film is still in production, but
has been put on a temporary hiatus while some restructuring goes on behind the scenes. The
delay is not due to the script, but rather because Universal wants to "pull out all the
stops" to make the movie as "epic" as it can be. Some of the production team reportedly
didn't see eye to eye with the studio on this approach, so now a restructuring is underway.
Colin Trevorrow is still expected to sit in the director's chair when cameras finally
do roll.
Jurassic Park 4 was supposed to be in theaters on June 13, 2014, but we just received a statement
from Universal Pictures that reads:
In coordination with filmmakers, Universal has decided to release Jurassic Park 4 at
a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best
possible version of the fourth installment in Universal's beloved franchise. kkkkk
