This is the 2016 redesigned Toyota Tacoma! The mid-size truck we've all been
waiting for. You know, the Tacoma outsells all others in its class, but it's time
for upgrades for better capability, better comfort, and great styling. Hi, I'm
Jay Bouley, Product Specialist here at Markquart Toyota. Let's take a look at
this new Tacoma. This is one of five trim levels of the Toyota Tacoma for '16. There's
the bold SR, the iconic SR5, the athletic TRD Sport Package, the highly
capable rough-and-rugged TRD Off-Road package, and the luxurious Limited. Each
of the grills on the new Tacoma is slightly different depending on trim
level. This is the TRD Off-Road package, so we have a great chrome presence up
front. These bold fender flares over the wheel wells, that distinctive looking 16
inch machine cut aluminum alloy wheel, and that Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar
reinforced on/off-road tire. You know, there's lots of accessories you can get
on your Tacoma, including these cast aluminum running boards and a tri-fold
locking Tonneau cover in the rear. Lots of possibilities. While our 2.7 liter
four-cylinder is a carryover engine, everybody wants this new 3.5 leader in
their new Tacoma. It's
actually not a new engine to Toyota - it's in half a dozen other models, but
with the truck application of the Atkinson cycle and direct injection, our
Tacoma 3.5 liter v-6 provides additional horsepower and better fuel economy.
You know, under the hood of every Toyota is a great power train, and we have
coverage with Toyota Care to keep you in great shape. That means free regular
maintenance for the first two years or 25,000 miles, and includes oil changes, &
tire rotations,
and also nationwide roadside assistance.
The sharp styling of the new Tacoma continues here at the rear with the
embossed Tacoma name in the tailgate. It's a locking tailgate with an
integrated spoiler and a nice, easy slow drop due to the rotary damper design.
Inside sheet-molded fiber reinforced composite bed with standard deck rail
system, in bed storage, and on the TRD models and AC outlet. There's two cab sizes with
a Toyota Tacoma - the roomy double cab, and the highly versatile access cab. An a first for
Tacoma - SmartKey allowing easy access to your Tacoma no matter which size of cab
you have. This happens to be the Access Cab with lots of room for cargo in the
back, that you can convert to passenger use with two quick movements.
The long-awaited Tacoma redesign pays off with a classy, yet functional
interior. From seats to dash to steering wheel, all components combining to
provide a great comfortable, yet capable interior. From the moment you start your
new Tacoma, it's clear there's something new and fresh in front of you. This
multi-information display shows you a digital speedometer, compass, fuel economy,
and your audio settings. In all our new Tacomas the HVAC controls are
redesigned, and in the Limited you would have dual-zone automatic climate control. In the lower
part of the center console you'll notice the Qi wireless charging pad. That's a
class exclusive - allows conductive charging of your cell phone.
The center console is home to our Entune Audio System with a seven-inch
touch-screen, providing easy access to the audio system, phone controls, and
possibly a navigation system. Further standard equipment on the new Tacoma is
the GoPro camera mount, so you can record all those fun trips off road. When you
leave the pavement this Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road package gives you the most
in capability with a multi-terrain selector, crawl control, and active track.
When you're on the road, the Toyota Star Safety System gives you the utmost in
confidence, combining all the safety features for active driving. The Toyota
Tacoma is number one in its class for sales, reliability, and retained value
through the years.
