Okay, so we have one side of the purse sewn and know we have to sew the green side. And
what we need to do first is go ahead and flip this, put the right sides together. I'm going
to measure the top and the bottom part of this purse. So what I want to do is make sure
that this width is the same at the bottom and this is the same at the top. So let me
measure this right quick. This one is 6 inches. And this one is 6 inches also. You know sometimes
you can do 5 inches, 6 inches, you can do different measurements if you want. If you
notice I've already changed my thread, I don't want to sew black on my green fabric. So let's
get started. I'm not even going to measure it yet, I'm just going to sew one side, then
I'm going to measure it from here to here to find the 6 inches. Remember to tack, back
tack top and bottom. Now this is where I'm going to go ahead and measure the 6 inches.
Six inches is right here. Okay, let me measure that again, yeah that's right. I just have
a little extra fabric left on this side. And then you go. Now since I can't reach over
there, I'll just go ahead and grab my hand ruler and measure 6 inches and it's right
there. If you want you can use a piece of chalk to measure it. I just keep my finger
on there. There we go! Let me see if that looks about right. Oh that's going to match
up perfectly.
