Welcome to Worship the Lord Bible Study! Wayne Lampe has created family orientated bible
teachings 30 minute lessons. I use audio visual, animated clip art, current events, images,
music presentation for easier understanding of the scriptures for all ages. Most of his
ministry service has been with teaching children and youth. His bible knowledge is influenced
by Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa from teachers such as Chuck Smith, Jon Corson, and Greg
Laurie. His passion is for people to grow spiritually through learning the Word. In
January 2006, he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig disease. Wayne then dedicated his time producing
these lessons. Please know that with A.L.S., Lou Gehrig’s disease, the body loses function
to voluntary muscles. However, the mind is not affected. You will notice his commentary
voice begins to become slow and slurred over the 5 plus years with the disease.
He has also invested time and resources to ensure accurate closed captioning for the
deaf and to help listeners understand slurred dictation. The Closed Caption can be changed
into many languages. At the end of this introduction there is a 4 minute video showing A3d video
about A.L.S and short clip about Lou Gehrig. These are verse by verse teachings through
four books of the bible. The first series of teachings is the book of Job which explores
one of the frequent questions asked about God. Why Does God Allow Pain & Suffering?
How can a loving God allow pain and suffering? The book of Job explores this and many of
life’s big questions. Job loved God and He blessed him. Job was the wealthiest man
in his land. In one day he loses everything, but Job still praises God. Did he do something
wrong? Was God angry at him? Was he being punished? Job realizes that he needs a redeemer.
This covers 42 chapters in 16 lessons that are 8 hours of viewing. You can download a
free study workbook on his website. The second series explains what people always want to
know. What is going to happen in the future? Did you ever have a workbook in school or
self-study? Many times you can find the answers at the back of the book. In the bible, the
last book in the bible the Revelation of Jesus Christ tells us of past, present and future.
Many people think this book is not understandable or scary. However, it really brings a message
of A Message of Hope, Peace and Love. Did you ever what or read a suspense,or mystery
story? At the end you find out what happens. If it was a movie, the second time you watched
it, the suspense was gone because you know how it ends! This is what understanding the
book of Revelation will do! It brings a message of Hope, Peace and Love.
This book was written by the apostle John. There were 7 churches in what is now modern
day Turkey. Christian’s were being killed in horrible ways by the Roman Emporers. This
book was written using over four hundred old testament refrences, word pictures and types.
It was done this way for protection because it was speaking against the Roman Empire . It
is not just a book about prophecy, but speaks to us today. It should stir your emotion and
Passion for Jesus Christ. It effects how we live our lives today and having strength and
hope dealing with problems we encounter everyday This series is 22 lessons 12 hours of viewing.
You can download a free study workbook on his website. The third series is the Gospel
of Matthew. Matthew was one of the 12 disciples. Wayne uses the clips from Visual Bible Randolph
Productions along with added commentary and visual images.
This is a verse by verse account of the book of Matthew. The video portrays Jesus in a
real way and brings the scriptures to life. It was filmed on location in Tunisia, Morocco
and South Africa, Matthew features a cast of thousands, historically accurate costuming
and award-winning directing. The film stars Emmy award-winning actor Richard Kiley as
Matthew, and Bruce Marchiano as Jesus. This book explains the life of Jesus. The commentator
also teaches from the other three gospels Mark, Luke and John. Have you ever watched
a sporting event and they replay events from several angles? You see something slightly
different but it is the same play. That is how the four Gospels work together written
to reach all different types of people. This series is 32 lessons, sixteen hours viewing
time. The fourth and current teaching is the book
of Genesis. This book is the foundation of many things in the bible. It defines the meaning
of many words and types and pictures in the bible. The word Genesis in Hebrew means beginning.
It is a book of beginnings and in Genesis we find the beginning of creation of life
forms, the beginning of man, and the beginning of sin and death. We find God’s redemptive
plan to save us through Jesus Christ. This is the beginning of Israel as a nation. It
tells about all beginnings except the beginning of God. He has no beginning and no end. The
bible is more about us as humans. Our relationship with God. Our sin and rebellion, how Jesus
Christ redeemed us of all our sin by dying on the cross and resurrecting on the third
day. That is the focus of the bible even the Old Testament it’s all about Jesus.
You may have some of the following questions 1. What is the meaning of life 2? Why does
god let bad things happen to people 3? Is there a God does he care or love me? 4. Is
this happening because of s something I did wrong? 5. What does happen when someone dies
6.is there a real heaven and hell? 7. How can I know where I am going when I die? On
his website WTLPC.COM please visit the Life’s Big Question page. Take fifteen minutes to
listen for common questions. He has used animated avatars to translate these questions in 30
plus languages. His videos are posted on VIMEO, and if you have a television with internet
and VIMEO application, you can watch them for family viewing. He also has free podcasts
on Podbean and I-tunes. These include teachings from other pastors in Chinese, Hindi, Hungarian,
Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Here is information about Wayne Lampe’s background and spiritual journey. I was born
in New York and raised in the Catholic faith. I went to church, but it really did not make
a difference in my life. I knew Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive us of our sins.
I had no real relationship with God. I joined the Air Force and got married in 1981. Other
than being married in church, I had not thought about God. Then in 1987, my dad died. It was
the first time I had to deal with death. At the wake, I knew that was the real him lying
there. I knew it was just a physical shell. The real spirit and soul was someplace else,
but where? I started my search going back to Catholic Church. I remember seeing a comedy
movie called "Defending Your Life". It was supposed to show what happened after you die.
I know now there were many things wrong in the movie, but for me it was a starting point
of seeking God. Then one morning I turned on an AM station and heard, Chuck Smith and
The Word for the Day. He described the bible in a simple way. I still was not sure how
to know God was real. Why did Jesus Christ endure the painful death by crucifixion? I
was driving to work one day and listening to the description of the Roman beating of
Jesus before going to the cross. I pulled over and wept. I asked how God could love
a mixed up guy like me. Another speaker came on named Greg Laurie. He preached on" How
to Know God and Make Him Known". He preached the gospel, and how to accept Jesus Christ
as my savior and be forgiven of my sins and know I am going to heaven. On October 30th,
1994 I made that decision.
What is Lou Gehrig's disease?
All voluntary movement in the body is controlled by the brain.
nerve cells in the brain
called upper motor neurons initiate movement for the release of chemical
signals called neuro transmitters
the signal is passed from the upper motor neurons
to the lower motor neurons of the spine nerve
fibers extending into the spine called axons extend into the muscles
the point where the axons and muscle connect
is called the neuromusculer junction
when a signal reaches the neuromusculer junction it causes the muscle to
contract resulting in voluntary muscle movement
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis A.L.S. often called lou gehrig's disease
is a degenerative disease of both uppper & lower motor neurons
as more and more of motor neurons become affected
they are unable to send signals for movement to the muscles.Loss of
voluntary muscle movement and coordination weakness develope
overtime muscle weakness and spasms occur
patients are unable to perform routine activities such as walking and getting
out of a chair eventually paralysis develops
interfering with the ability
to swallow talk and breath
unfortunately there is no cure for A.L.S.
Death from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
usually occurs within
three to five years from diagnosis
on may second nineteen thirty-nine after playing in 2130
two thousand one hundred thirty straight games
the Iron Horse Lou Gehrig benchs himself
Lou's statistics through April are the worst of his career
he is just 0ne R.B.I. & one forty three (.143)batting average
two weeks after his benching he is diagnosed with a fatal disease
A.L.S.and given three years to live
the news of Gehrig's illness stunned the country
and on July fourth a huge sad crowd
packed YankeeStadium to pay tribute to their beloved hero
Babe Ruth came back
and the two old teamates ended their long fued
manager Joe mccarthy presented him with a trophy
at first Gehrig was to moved to speak
for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad brag
Today,I consider myself, the luckiest man, on the face of the earth
That I might have been given a bad break
but I got an aweful lot to live for! Thank you
(applause)
He died two years later
of what is now called
Lou Gehrig's disease
