Today we are going to talk about fall food plots, the importance of fall food plots and
some of the things to consider when planting fall food plots. Fall food plots can be a
very attractive and palatable food source for any deer herd. The first thing to consider
when planting your fall food plot is the plant date. You want to plant about 4-6 weeks before
your average frost date. Second thing to consider is seed selection. Either perennials or annuals.
Perennials, such as alfalfa or clover will not only in the fall, but come back in the
spring and years to come. Annuals will grow just that fall, mostly brassicas, will grow
just that fall so you will be able to plant something the following spring. The third
thing to consider is the moisture in the ground. You want good moisture in the ground so you
can have a nice catch for your food plot. The three food plot mixes we recommend planting
in the fall is our fall anuual blend, brassica mix or pasture mix. If you ever have any questions
