And right now, we are listening to music in the tunnels.
It's actually called WRUR Presents: An Undergrad Music Party.
And it's basically a time for students to just be able to perform in the tunnels,
and usually, especially when it's cold outside, people are walking in the tunnels and it's very very empty and quiet. So why not bring music to the tunnels?
It's opened to all students or faculty members.
Today we have an accordion player, we have a flute player, me, we have singers and guitar players and violin players and basically it's open for anyone.
I brought CDs that we're giving away. Every week, we get about 50 or more CDs from producers and record labels.
So I just brought some extra and I'm just handing them out for free just to kind of promote the music again
and promote the radio so that more people are aware of it and more people listen to us.
It's just another way to bring to the community that's unique and that strengthens the artistic community that is existing already.
