Hi! I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make
a cat costume for this Halloween. What does the central piece of our cat costume look
like? Here's an example of one that will work. Basically what it is it's a black dress, a
shorter dress. The bottom going down to about the mid to lower thigh getting down towards
the knees. The top comes up and you have a nice neck opening. Some neck opening will
be bigger than others. It really depends. We also have tied off a belt at the mid section
to kind of heighten the form of our cat costume. In this case, this is a female version of
the costume, so we're going to heighten some of the feminine nature of our volunteer here
by having a belt at the center. That's an option. You don't have to have it. If you
have kind of like a dress definitely kind of billowing in and out and make sure you
look more amorphous. You don't really have so much of a shape. Cats have a very definite
shape to them. They're very, very tightly coiled in springs. They're not kind of billowy
with soft edges. Keep that in mind when you're looking for your cat costume. We've also gone
with black today because that gives us a large range of options in regards of how we do the
makeup, which we'll discuss next.
