Today's field trip for international students is an opportunity for them to experience different
ethnic grocery stores that are here in the Quad Cities
To date we have visited
an African market
an Asian market
a Hispanic grocery store
an Indian grocery store and a German-European store
All of these stores are in Moline. We have about a dozen students
all from different areas of the world and so they've taken this opportunity to show their
fellow students
foods that they're familiar with, foods from home.
This company is good
and we have the same company in Japan.
I love the soup from this company, and I didn't know that it was from Germany.
Yes, so we just found out that they have this German soup in Japan. I think that's really cool.
This is Swedish gingerbread. We always have it every Sunday in December
up until Christmas.
And then just rye bread and curry ketchup. That's not even Swedish, but it's awesome.
and just some Swedish cookies
that I absolutely love.
Some roasted clay, it's mostly for soup.
I like cooking it a lot because
it is the only thing
that reminds me of home.
Well, these are kinds of
preserve fruits.
This one is mango, and this one I don't really know.
Many girls like eating them.
