I keep in touch with past clients in a number of different ways. Through Facebook, through
social media, Twitter, LinkedIn, all of those ways which is sort of the modern way of connecting
with people. And those are great. But in fact, the best results come from getting on the
phone and calling people which is something I did recently and it led to a new exclusive.
I have a townhouse that I am marketing right now because of that.
And I think the personal touch is something which is missed a little bit in business today.
Everybody is sending emails. I've got a text message from somebody saying okay to me which
was simply the letter K. And I didn't think that was a word that needed to be shortened.
So in my opinion, I think the personal touch of getting on the phone, even having dinner
or lunch or a drink with your clients is a really important thing to do. They are important
to me. I have gotten to know them through living with them through their daily lives,
selling their homes. It's a very emotional and very intense time for most people when
they are buying or selling a home. So you really get to see what they love. And I think
I just have a natural empathy to that. And we are almost friends at the end of the process.
