Common antidepressants may lead you to suffer a cerebral bleed. Hi. My name is Michael Werner.
I’m an attorney here with Parker Waichman. Today I want to provide you some important
information regarding anti-depressant use. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, commonly
referred to as SSRIs, are used to treat depression. Some of the common SSRIs include Zoloft, Paxil,
and Prozac. These drugs work on your serotonin levels by modifying and regulating the levels
inside your brain. Now for years, researchers have concluded that they lead to certain side
effects include spina bifida, heart defects, and birth defects. However, recently, a Journal
of Neurology concluded that SSRIs may lead to a 40 or 50% increase in the risk of cerebral
bleeding. It’s though that the connection there is because SSRIs may invade the ability
for the blood to clot. You likely have questions about anti-depressant use. Here’s what I
want you to do. Pick up the phone and call me. The number is 1-800-800-9797. Again, my
name is Michael Werner and thanks for watching.
