How's it going? Steve: Good, how are you doing? Scott: Scott Pruett. Steve: Steve Richards, nice to meet you. Scott: Need to move that seat back.
Ever been here before? Steve: Never been here, no. I met you at the open house.
You probably met a thousand people.
So where's home for you? Steve: Boston. I just got off the plane.
Steve: I just flew in, and, uh,
Just got my rental car and drove here.I'm like ready to go.
Scott: Well this is by far one of the most exciting and difficult tracks
in the US. Got uphill, downhill,
the corkscrew is kind of the biggest challenge here but it's such a quick track and a lot of things are going on
Here's turn two
Kind of a double turn here. Kinda slide around here a little bit
Steve: Yep
Scott: 90 miles an hour. Here we're about 75. 80. 90. 100. 110
It's going pretty quick, isn't it?
(laughter)Up the hill and we're going down the bridge
This is actually one of the more difficult turns on the track
If you get off you just go straight off over there
And here's the most exciting, coming up
have you braking, downshift. And then drop. Steve: Oh, yeah! That's nice
Little bit of wheel spin right there. Steve: I like that
Steve: Boy, this grumbles really nice. Scott: Yeah, this is a really, really difficult track on brakes
Steve: Yeah they were smoking when you pulled off
cott: This is what they call the corkscrew. Steve: Literally. Scott: Yeah, literally
Scott: There we go. Steve: Awesome. Scott: Fun place, huh? Steve: Yeah, absolutely. Scott: Glad you got here
Steve: Yeah, I haven't stopped since I, since about 3 a.m. Boston time
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I can't thank you enough for it
Scott: Oh, my pleasure. My pleasure, absolutely
Steve: Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
(laughter)
