Alright let's talk about index display in the playback settings on your Canon 40D. If
you press the playback button on the bottom left corner of your body an image will load
on your playback screen, and to get to index mode what you need to do is press the magnifying
glass with a dash or a minus through the middle of it, and that will pull out to a four view
or a nine view of all the shots that you've taken, and what you can do at that point is
use the quick control dial to scroll through you're shots and once you've found a shot
that you're interested in looking at, let's see I'm going to pick that one. You can see
there's a blue rectangle that highlights the shot, and what you can do is put the blue
rectangle on top of the shot that you're interested in looking at closer and press the magnifying
glass with a plus button in the middle. That will take you in closer to that shot to full
size on your LCD screen, and if we want to go in further than that you can actually press
the plus screen again. Again, the index view is simply achieved by pressing the minus zoom,
or minus magnifying glass button, and then you have the option to scroll through and
look at your images up to nine at a time.
